You may be entitled to full funding if you meet the eligibility criteria set by the Ministry of Justice.

Eligibility for full funding is based on:

  • the number of people who depend on you financially (your dependents); and
  • your income over the past year (before tax and any deductions such as student loan repayments, KiwiSaver contributions or ACC levies). If your income has recently changed, you can use your income (before tax and any deductions) over the past 3 months.

The table below will give you an indication as to whether you are eligible for full funding – the table shows the most you can have earned to qualify.

If you believe you are entitled to full funding you will need to complete a Funding Declaration Form and provide evidence of your income. Please contact your case manager if you wish to apply for full funding.

If you are not entitled to full funding, you will need to pay $448.50 as your share of the cost of FDR Mediation. This payment is not required until after the FDR Assessment.
